Salado ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Glenn Talbott resigned his position Feb. 13, effective at the end of his contract on June 30.
Talbott leaves the district after three years as AD and head football coach and nine years in Salado schools. In his three years as head football coach, Salado Eagles were 8-22.

WACO — At 7:00 PM on Monday, February 11 (weather permitting), TxDOT will close the northbound lanes of I-35 under the Loop 121 bridge in order to allow crews to pour the deck on the new Loop 121 bridge. At approximately 9:00 PM, TxDOT will also close the southbound lanes of I-35 as the deck pouring continues to the west half of the bridge. Northbound drivers will exit at #292 (Loop 121) and reenter the freeway north of Loop 121. Southbound drivers will exit at #292 (Loop 121) and reenter the freeway south of Loop 121.
Salado Lady Eagles will face the Bruceville-Eddy Lady Eagles in the first round of the playoffs on Monday Feb. 11 at Gatesville High School at 7:00 pm.

Salado Lady Eagles lost a tightly-contested road game to the Cameron Lady Yoe 50-51 on Feb. 4.
The teams fought back and forth throughout the first half with Cameron taking a narrow 20-19 margin to the lockers.
Cameron built a nine-point lead of 35-26 midway through the third quarter, before the Lady Eagles went on a 10-1 run to tie the score at 36 with 5:56 left to play. The Yoe then scored five unanswered points in the next minute of play. Salado scratched its way to a 45-45 tie with 1 minute left in the game.
Lady Yoe took advantage of a three-point shot and free throws to hold on to a 51-47 lead with seconds left in the game.
Ashley Adams hit a three with no time left in the game, but Salado fell short.
The girls shot just over 50 percent at the free throw line, going 15-for-29.
Meredith Ward led the Lady Eagles with 16 points.
Taryn Kornegay followed with 9 points.
Also scoring for Salado were Jaylee Sebek, Ashley Adams and Taylor Atwood, all with 7 points each and Payton Dreitz and Carmella Perez, 1 point each.

Ashley Adams scored 6 of her 16 points in the first quarter to lead the Lady Eagles to 12-9 first quarter lead. Salado lost the lead in the second scoring 6 and missing four free throws to enter the half trailing 18-19. The Lady Eagles scored 11 points in the third to trail 29-31 going into the fourth. Salado was outscored 15-16 in the fourth for a 44-47 loss.
Ashley Adams led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 16 points. Followed by Carmella Perez, 10 point.
Also scoring for Salado were Meredith Ward, 9 points; Jaylee Sebek, 7 points; Payton Dreitz, 2 points.
