First Cedar Valley Baptist Church presents the Armstrong Family Singers at 10:45 a.m. July 31 at 12237 FM 2843, approximately eight miles southwest of Salado.
In April 1997 a new singing family was unveiled. The Armstrong Family. “This traditional gospel singing family has their own unique style of singing which gives them the opportunity to reach Christians and sinners of every nationality with the message of Christ,” said Cedar Valley Music Director Donnie Jackson.
Currently, you can find these singing women doing more than just singing. They minister in their local community as well as other states and countries. They can also be heard on local radio stations throughout the community, as well as seen on community cable television and other local TV stations. They would consider it a blessing to minister in your church and at your conferences this year.
“Our mission is to continue to sing the gospel under the anointing of God and to see the power of God flow and bless His people,” said Brenda Armstrong, the oldest sister who sings soprano and second tenor.
“We are often invited to sing in various sized churches of different backgrounds,” said Ruby Grant, the second oldest sister. Grant ings second soprano and alto for the group.
Patricia Singletary is the youngest sister of the group. She sings lead, alto, and tenor with the group. “ I am also the driver and wardrobe coordinator and assistant secretary for the group.,” she says. “I am completely in love with singing the gospel and ministering with my sisters.”
