The early vote turnout in Bell County has eclipsed every other mid-term election in Bell County history, including the midterms of 2010, which was the Tea Party revolution.

Bell County Commissioner Tim Brown reported that since Jan. 26 his campaign has raised an additional $8,550 in political contribution and spent $31,714.42 in political expenditures, according to campaign finance report dated May 12.

Cosper outraises Buckley 4-to-1 in runoff

State Rep. Scott Cosper has raised $236,819.05, according to the May 14 campaign finance reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission while his challenger Dr. Brad Buckley has raised $54,115.00 in political donations.

Salado ISD voters overwhelmingly approved the $49.4 million bond proposal. Village of Salado voters narrowly re-elected Mayor Skip Blancett.

Three candidates are vying for election as Mayor of the Village of Salado. Election day is 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 7 at the Salado Civic Center. Five candidates are seeking two positions on the Village of Salado Board of Aldermen. Election day is 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 5 with the polls open at the Salado Civic Center. Salado Village Voice has done a series of questions and answers with the candidates each week. The series is available online.

Early voting totals in Salado ISD & Village of Salado election
Village early vote surpasses last year’s Disannexation election early vote
More than 1,400 voters cast ballots during early voting in the $49.4 million Salado ISD Bond Election and almost 600 voters have cast ballots during early voting in the Village of Salado municipal election for what appears to be a strong indication of what will be a high turnout.
The 592 voters who have cast ballots in early voting surpassed the record number who voted during last year’s Disannexation election. Last year, through the end of early voting, 582 cast ballots in the Village election.
Early voting began April 23 in local elections that include a ballot for the Village of Salado Mayor and Aldermen races and a ballot for the Salado ISD $49.4 million bond election. [Read more…] about Early voting totals in Salado ISD & Village of Salado election
