School property tax rate will remain same Salado ISD Trustees unanimously proposed a $14.8 million operating budget for the 2017-18, an increase of 5 percent over the current operating budget of $14.1 million. Trustees propose maintaining the current tax rate of $1.2238 per $100 valuation.

Valedictorian Kristin Crouch Kristin Crouch and Olivia Sula will graduate at the top of the Class of 2017. Crouch is the Valedictorian for 2017 with a final grade of 110.15. Olivia Sula is the Salutatorian with a final grade of 108.82.
Funeral services for Victoria “Tori” C. DeKay, 17, of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Temple Bible Church, 3205 Oakview Drive in Temple with Rev. Tom Robins, Rev. Steve Vaughn and Ed Gillispie officiating. A private burial will follow.
