All I-35 closings through Salado canceled for the week
SALADO – I-35 closings through Salado that were originally for earlier last week and rescheduled for Sunday, May 10, Monday, May 11 and Tuesday May 12 have again been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 12, Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday May 14. But WAIT, there’s MORE: All of the mainlane closings for this week have been canceled, as of 12:30 p.m. May 12.

Salado election results
Melanie Kirchmeier was re-elected to the Salado ISD Board of Trustees with a large percentage of the vote. Chris Seaton was returned to the board of trustees. Fred Brown and Michael McDougal were re-elected to their second terms on the Village of Salado Board of Aldermen. Dave Williams was also elected to the board of aldermen. Hans Fields lost his bid for a third term on the board of aldermen.

Salado I-35 Mainlane Closures on May 4, 5 and 6
All I-35 northbound mainlanes will be closed to traffic through part of Salado on Monday, May 4 and Wednesday May 6, from 7 PM – 7 AM, as crews work in the median.

DPS releases report on fatal accident, no charges yet
Almost a month after the March 26 fatal accident on I-35, charges have been filed by an indianapolis truck accident attorney and an official Department of Public Safety crash report left the narrative description blank as being under review by the District Crash Team.
As of presstime on April 21, no charges have been filed in connection with the accident
