From 2012 to 2016, our district enrollment increased from 1,348 students to 1,747 students. Of those additional 399 students, 275 of them (69%) live in Salado and 114 of them (31%) are out-of-district transfer students.
Congratulations to Tim Fleischer, Jeff Stockton, and Larnce Barker for being selected for the 2016-2017 Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Media Honor Roll. Tim Fleischer is the editor-in-chief of the Salado Village Voice newspaper. Jeff Stockton and Larnce Barker are the announcers for the schoolboysports.com online broadcasts of our varsity football games.
This month the Salado Independent School District was awarded the Postsecondary Readiness Distinction Designation. This is the only distinction that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) awards to school districts.
