Our facilities survey closes this Friday, December 22. If you have not already completed the survey, please go to our facilities committee website at www.sisdfacilitiescommittee.org and click on the “Take the Salado ISD Facilities Survey” link in the middle of the page. All registered voters in our school district are encouraged to take the survey so the feedback best represents our community.
A long range facilities plan is very important for the future of our school district. During the past five years our enrollment has increased from 1,348 students to 1,854 students. Out of all 81 school districts in the Waco area (from Salado up to Hillsboro), Salado ISD has the highest percentage increase in enrollment over the past five years. Here are the five fastest growing districts:
#1 Salado = 38% increase
#2 Academy = 33% increase
#3 Belton = 17% increase
#4 Midway = 10% increase
#5 Killeen = 6% increase

We have meetings scheduled for Monday, January 8, and Monday, January 22. Both meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Salado ISD Administration Building/Civic Center. All of the meetings are open to the public.
