New Tourism Director starts Feb. 20

The Village of Salado has named Chadley Hollas as the new Director of Tourism. Village Administrator Don Ferguson announced the hiring of Hollas Feb. 2. The Village is very fortunate to have the opportunity to hire a person with the background and experience that Hollas brings,” Ferguson said.

Hollas has management experience in hotel marketing and operations, as well as event management.

Hollas was senior sales manager with White Lodging Services in Austin from Sept. 2013 to Oct. 2014. While there, he managed hotel inventory, rates, and revenue, while improving hotel’s standing within the competitive set.

He was an account manager for national events for More in Sports, Inc. from Jan. 2013 to August 2016.

He then served as the estate manager for a C-level executive where he served as director for household, to include overseeing the estate, trnvel, personnel, and business affairs.

Hollas received a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from Texas A&M University along with a Master of Science in Tourism Resource Development.

As Salado’s Tourism Director, Hollas will be responsible for the development and implementation of a marketing strategy to increase overnight visitation. In addition, he will oversee Visitors Center operations and be involved in the development and management of special events designed to enhance tourism.

Hollas will begin his new role with the Village on on Feb. 20. His office will be in the Visitors Center at 423 S. Main Street.
