Salado finishes in second place in District 25-4A After a loss on the road to Liberty Hill, Salado Lady Eagles swept the #22 Burnet Lady Bulldogs in a home match Oct. 23 to force a tie for second place in District 25-4A volleyball with the Lady Bulldogs.

Lady Eagles breezing through competition Salado Lady Eagles have been on a tear lately, stretching a string of six September sweeps of their opponents, including Waco Connally on Sept. 22 and the Taylor Lady Ducks Sept. 25 to begin District 254A play.
Salado is 22-5 on the year going into district play Salado Lady Eagles handled Veritas Academy in quick fashion, winning in three straight, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-15 last week. The girls also swept the Groesbeck Lady Goats in three sets to improve to 22-5 on the year.

Girls are 12-3 on year with Gatesville wins Salado Lady Eagles won the Gatesville Volleyball Tournament Aug. 20 and 22, beating four teams, including two 6A squads. With the tournament wins, the girls are 12-3 on the year.

While the Salado Lady Eagles lost two close games to state-ranked opponents last week, falling 2-0 to the #6 Liberty Hill Lady Panthers and 2-1 to the #22 Lampasas Lady Badgers, their loss to the #5 Burnet Lady Bulldogs was not so close on April 21 as Salado went down 9-1 on the road.
Malory Schattle scored the winning run on the road against Taylor April 10 on a sacrifice fly to deep center by Jenna Calder in the sixth inning.
