Salado Lady Eagles are going to the softball playoffs as either the third or fourth place team from District 25-4A. The girls lost to first-place Burnet last night 5-1 at Liberty Hill, a game that was rescheduled due to rains early this week.
Jenna Calder’s walk-off single to right lifted the Salado Lady Eagles over the Lampasas Lady Badgers 9-8 in the bottom of the 11th inning April 12.
Salado Lady Eagles struggled at the plate against dominating pitcher Makenzie Carpenter on April 2, losing 1-0 to the Burnet Lady Bulldogs.

Salado Lady Eagles swept six opponents to win the Franklin softball tournament March 4-5, beating Caldwell 7-6 in the championship game. The girls beat three teams to earn the second-place seed in the Gold Bracket of the tournament and then beat Cameron, White Oak and Caldwell.

Salado had 14 hits in the Lady Eagles’ 7-4 win over White Oak in the gold bracket of the Franklin Tournament March 5.

Rebecca Dockray pitched a no-hitter and knocked in five runners to lead the Lady Eagles to an 18-0 shellacking of Bay Christian in the second round of pool play March 4.

Salado beat Pflugerville, Thrall, Midway JV, Gatesville fall to Caldwell, Academy
Salado Lady Eagles took fourth place in the Academy softball tournament, winning four games and losing two last week. Rebecca Dockray, Malory Schattle and Bailey Tindell were named to the All-Tournament team.
Salado Lady Eagles have a record of 5-2 as of March 1.
