The Salado Lady Eagles delivered a dominate performance at the Region III-4A Track and Field Championships held May 1–2, capturing the team title in decisive fashion and qualifying a strong roster for the upcoming state meet.
Salado racked up 114 points to easily outdistance runner-up Huffman Hargrave (48) and third-place Katy Freeman (44), showcasing depth, speed, and record-breaking performances across multiple events.

Salado Lady Eagles show no mercy in first round of softball playoffs
Behind the arm of freshman pitcher Avery Dunlap, only three Lorena Lady Leopards reached base across two games, as the Salado Lady Eagles swept Lorena in the bi-district round of the 4A-Div. 2 playoffs. Salado mercy ruled the Lady Leopards in both games.
Salado will face Smithville in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Smithville beat La Marque 15-0 in the bi-district round. The Lady Tigers are 21-6-1 on the year and won District 22-4A.
Salado is 25-8-1 on the year.

Area Champion Lady Eagles Track advance to Regionals
Salado Lady Eagles Track are Area Champions after winning the Area Track Meet with a total of 213 points, followed by Lorena with 88 points April 15.

Salado Lady Eagles will face San Antonio Davenport in the state semi-finals after blowing past the Vidor Lady Pirates 5-1 in the Region 3 Div.1 finals March 31 in Magnolia.
This is the third straight trip to the state semi-finals for the Lady Eagles. Salado was eliminated by SA Davenport last year 3-2.
Lady Eagles Basketball beat Lorena
Salado Lady Eagles Basketball defeated Lorena 51-45 in a home game Nov. 18.

Salado Lady Eagles third in State
The cool fall air set the perfect stage for a great performance on Saturday morning as the Lady Eagles capped off their season with a podium finish at the UIL 4A Girls State Cross Country Championship. Competing against the top programs in Texas, the team’s grit and determination earned them third place in the state, marking a continued history of podium finishes for the Lady Eagles.

For the fourth year in a row, Salado Lady Eagles are heading to the Region III Semi-Finals, after sweeping La Grange 25-18, 25-12 and 25-12.
They will face Bridge City Saturday Nov. 8, 1 p.m. at Madisonville High School in the Region III Semi-Finals. Bridge City is the second place team in 4A Region III District 18, with a record of 34-12.
