The Salado Lady Eagles showcased their strength and determination at their home cross country meet held Thursday, September 11, at Tenroc Ranch. In preparation for the upcoming district meet, the team competed on a challenging 2-mile course known for its grueling uphill finish, a signature feature of the Tenroc Ranch layout.

Salado Eagles will host the Academy Bees 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 for the Eagles’ 2025 Homecoming game.
The Eagles improved to 2-1, beating the Giddings Buffaloes 42-14 at Eagle Stadium Sept. 12.
Eagles fall to Lampasas 43-12

Lampasas quarterback Bryson Roberts hit Kaden McElwain for a 75-yard touchdown a minute into their home game against Salado. The Badgers would go on to win 43-12 Sept. 5 to improve to 2-0 and set Salado back to 1-1.
Eagles win shoot out with Troy
Salado Eagles beat the Troy Trojans on the road, 59-42, in a shootout to open the football season Aug. 29.

Caine Cruddas passed the ball across the goal to senior Luke Anderson who put it in the net with 7:02 left in the first overtime for the game-winning goal to give Salado its first state soccer championship April 10 against the Rivers Oaks Castleberry. The Eagles won 3-2.

It’s not the way Coach Jared Cruddas wanted his Salado Eagles to get to the 4A, Division. 1 State Finals, but less than 10 minutes before the Eagles were to play the undefeated Progreso Red Ants at San Antonio’s Comalander, the UIL State Executive Committee (SEC) ruled that the Red Ants would forfeit their entire season.

Salado Eagles soccer (22-3-3) will face undefeated Progreso (30-0) in the 4A, Div. 1 state semi-final at 7 p.m. April 4 at Comalander Stadium in San Antonio. The Eagles are Region III champions after defeating Lumberton 2-1 in Navasota March 31.
