Girls win Tenroc Invitational

October 31, 2025 by Tim Fleischer

The Salado Lady Eagles showcased their strength and determination at their home cross country meet held Thursday, September 11, at Tenroc Ranch. In preparation for the upcoming district meet, the team competed on a challenging 2-mile course known for its grueling uphill finish, a signature feature of the Tenroc Ranch layout.

Facing stiff competition from 16 teams, the Lady Eagles put on an impressive performance throughout the race. Leading the charge was sophomore McCall Boyd, who powered through the course to claim first place with a time of 11:23. Close on her heels was Annalee Bryant, who secured fourth place at 11:48.
The team’s momentum continued with standout finishes by Hayden Griesemer in sixth place (11:52), Cade Harris in seventh (12:04), and Sydney Engleking rounding out the top 10 with an eighth place finish at 12:14. Additional strong efforts came from Jemma Camp, who finished 11th with a time of 12:25, followed by Mayson Morreale and Kenley Vasek who placed 20th and 21st respectively with times of 12:43.2 and 12:43.8.
Despite the relentless uphill challenge at the finish, the Lady Eagles ran strong, and continue to build on their solid foundation.
The Salado Lady Eagles will look to carry this momentum forward as they prepare for their next race at the HOKA McNeil Invitational, which will be a preview of the state meet course.
