Feb. 15
8:22-8:35 a.m., 300 Block North Main St. Canine-Other, public service for a lost dog. Called complainant and gathered all information, unable to locate dog at this time. Clear.
Public Service, Pursuit. Public service for a dog at large call. Caller stated a dog chased him while running. I advised caller that I would attempt to locate, but was unable to locate.
3:20-4:23 p.m., FM 2268 and Stagecoach Rd. Pursuit, Killeen PD vehicle pursuit. Pursuit came into the city and stopped at that above location. Clear.
FM 2268 and IH35 Overpass. Agency Assist, Pursuit of stolen vehicle out of Killeen, vehicle was traveling north bound on IH35, vehicle exited at the 283, where the motor on the suspect vehicle was smoking and the vehicle appeared to be on fire at the overpass of FM 2268 and IH 35 overpass. The driver was taken into custody by Killeen Police Department along with dps, I blocked off east bound traffic at 2268 and IH 35 until Salado Fire Department arrived on scene and Killeen Wrecker could arrive on scene and took possession of the vehicle and cleared the bridge, assisted numerous agencies.
4:50-4:52 p.m., 500 Block Salado Plaza Drive. Canine-Other, advised the resident at Salado Plaza Drive, found a lost dog, the animal shelter was closed for the holiday. I called Bell County and they had no animal control on duty either. I asked the residential resident if they could hold onto the dog until morning, the resident advised they would try.
10:37-10:38 p.m., Police Department. Advised by dispatch of a person wanting to file a crash report by phone. Person stated they had hit a tire on IH-35 somewhere around Salado. The driver did not stop, instead they drove home to Harker Heights, where they called this incident in via telephone. Advised them to go to the Harker Heights Police Department and pick up a blue form.
3:30-4:23 p.m., FM 2268 and Stagecoach Rd. Pursuit, Killeen PD vehicle pursuit. Pursuit came into the city and stopped at that above location. Clear.
Feb. 16
8:18-8:35 p.m., 700 Block Park Drive. Disturbance, dispatched in reference to a disturbance between two males over dogs. I arrived on scene and met with reporting party at 700 Block Park Drive. Reporting party states he and his fiancée were walking their dogs in the 800 Block of Park Dr., where a dog from the house came running down towards their dogs. Reporting party said he didn’t know if the dog was friendly or not so he yelled to the owner of the dog to get his dog. Reporting party stated this turned into an argument where the other dog owner at 800 Block Park Dr. said he would kill his dogs and kick his butt, reporting party stated this is when he called the Salado Police Department. On scene reporting party was given a citizen complaint packet and for animal at large and assault by threat. I then wen to 800 Block Park Dr. and talked to other party. Individual told me the reporting party threatened him also and cussed at him. I gave him the same event number and advised him if he has any more problems to call us.
Feb. 17
8:23 a.m., 1200 Block Stagecoach Rd. Suspicious Circumstances, white male in black Mazda parked his vehicle blocking her vehicle. He approached her and began asking questions such as where she worked, she became concerned and rove across the grass. All parties gone on arrival.
Around 10:30 a.m., I was informed that white male in a black Mazda approached a female in Pace Park and started asking her questions about where she lived, and told her, she had lost the fight. Another male observed what was happening, the male in the black Mazda left area.
At 12:45 p.m., it was reported that white male in a black Mazda was at the Soccer Fields on Rose Lane. He approached one of the coaches and he did not make sense when talking.
At 1:10 individual observed a black Mazda parked at Rose Lane. He called his wife, who had been approached earlier by the subject. The Mazda driver accused individual of spying on him and pushed him.
At 4:15 p.m. white male driving a black Mazda entered the municipal building at 301 N. Stagecoach Rd. He wanted to know about the Sheriff’s vehicle that was parked at the Police Department, and if they worked together with the police, when informed they do work together. He stated “tell them they are going to jail for the rest of their lives” When asked who they could say left the message he replied “the FBI”. He then left he building.
7:41-8:09 p.m., Rose Ln. Agency Assist, assisted CIT Deputy with subject. Would not answer door. Mental Health Warrant being sought. Will attempt contact again later in shift.
12:08-12:35 a.m., Rose Ln. Agency Assist, contact established with subject from earlier call. Subject taken into custody by Sheriff’s Office for mental health concern. Clear.
Feb. 18
6:16-6:18 p.m., 301 N. Stagecoach Rd. (City Hall). Stray, citizen found loose dogs in Jarrell. Keeping the dogs with them overnight and will contact Jarrell Police Department and area Veterinarians tomorrow.
6:43-6:44 p.m., 301 N. Stagecoach Rd. (City Hall). Disturbance, minor disturbance during Alderman meeting. Handled prior to my arrival.
9:35 p.m., 1500 Block Old Mill Rd. Alarm Residential, canceled en route.
Feb. 19
12:40-12:48 a.m., NB Rest Area. Agency Assist, Suspicious Person, male approaching females in area of playground. Arrived on scene with BCSO. Located and identified subject. No complainant on scene, no arrest-able offense committed.
12:29-12:33 p.m., 300 Block N. Stagecoach Rd. Canine-other, reporting party found two small dogs on Smith Bluff. Took to shelter.
8:50 p.m., 2 Peddler’s Alley (Salado Glassworks). Alarm Business, audible alarm heard while in the area. Owner contact, building secure at ground level.
Feb. 20
3:01-3:07 p.m., 300 Block Royal View. Alarm Residential, code-4.
Feb. 21
2:41-3:41 p.m., I-35 Exit 283 South. Crash, crash at the above location.
