Eagles defeat Gonzales 42-21

Salado Eagles trailed the visiting Gonzales Apaches during the first three quarters of their Oct. 31 game, before tying the game at 21-21 with 11:31 left to play and then going on to score 21 unanswered points for the 42-21 win.
This was the last varsity football game to be played in Eagle Stadium as the new stadium on Williams Rd. will be completed for the 2026 football season.
Eagles fall to Jarrell

Jarrell: The Salado Eagles (5-3, 3-1) and the Jarrell Cougars (8-1, 4-1) had to adjust their pre-game preparation to beat the weather for a 6:30 p.m. kick-off. Despite the early start, the weather turned out to be fine with only a strong south wind. The pre-game coin toss at mid-field was won by Salado and the Eagles elected to defer their option to receive the football in the second half.
Eagles beat Wimberley Texans 23-9

Salado Eagles defense bent but did not break against the visiting Wimberley Texans, winning 23-9 Oct. 10 to improve to 3-0 in District 13-4A-2. Salado gets a week off before facing the 7-0 and 3-0 Jarrell Cougars 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 with a possible district championship on the line.

Geronimo — Salado Eagles came into Geronimo to take on the Navarro Panthers with a mission and a surprise signal caller. Versatile Athlete Max Gist who has been doing kicking duties and Defensive Back for the Eagles but would take on another role for the football team for this contest. Gist would have the opportunity to play Quarterback in Salado’s second district contest.

SALADO —Friday night’s 4A-D2 District 13 Football game between the Salado Eagles and the Lago Vista Vikings had a feeling that it would be exciting to watch. Well, the Eagles fans were not disappointed. The Eagles came to the game with a mission and the look of confidence which was visible in pre-game warm up. Coach Beaty had a plan for his players and stuck to the script.

Eagle Stadium was packed Sept. 19 and the Salado Eagles Football team, Cheerleaders, Band, Twirlers, Starlets and the Eagle Fans set the stage for this Homecoming 2025 clash with the Academy Bumble Bees in the last football game before district starts. The Homecoming Court was the Halftime event in which Devonte Foster and Shelby Dodge were the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen.

Salado Eagles will host the Academy Bees 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 for the Eagles’ 2025 Homecoming game.
The Eagles improved to 2-1, beating the Giddings Buffaloes 42-14 at Eagle Stadium Sept. 12.
