Renee Oas, President of Salado Family Relief Fund, accepts a $1,000 donation from the Salado Masonic Lodge #296 to benefit the Back-to-School Program of the Relief Fund. The check was presented at the conclusion of an Open House sponsored by the Lodge. The donation to Salado Family Relief Fund comes from Lodge fundraisers, including a food booth at the annual Gathering of the Scottish Clans held every November in Salado. Members will also donate children’s bikes to the Christmas project of the Family Relief Fund. Salado Family Relief Fund is wholly supported by donations from local churches, groups and individuals. Its chief fundraiser is the Empty Bowl lunch, which will be held at the Salado Intermediate School cafeteria 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 12. (Photo by Royce Wiggin)

Salado Masonic Lodge #296 will continue the Salado Flag Program in 2016 and is now taking new subscribers. The cost is $30 for the year.
