Extreme endurance athletes will converge here for the Salado Ultra 520K Oct. 21-23.
The Village of Salado is one step closer toward being designated as a Cultural District. Jill Shipman, president of the Public Arts League of Salado, learned earlier this week that Salado is one of seven applications that the Cultural District Designation Evaluation Panel is recommending for the designation. TCA received 12 applications for the designation in 2016.
Spring marks the advent of wine festivals in Texas. Kick off the season at the oldest wine festival in Central Texas during the weekend of Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, and you’ll find the Village of Salado filled with folks sipping wine, browsing art and nibbling on the best at the Seventh Annual Texas Wine and Rogue Art Fest.
Celebrate spring by attending the biggest wine festival between Austin and Grapevine.
Edgy Art Show brings artists together in friendly competition
Come watch these artists create their work Saturday
The Second Annual Edgy Art Show will showcase eight artists working in different media on March 28 as they create unique pieces during that morning and afternoon centered around a theme.
“They’ll learn what the theme is just 24 hours before they set up and begin work that Saturday,” said Jennifer McFarland, volunteer chairman of the Edgy Art Show.
