The Salado Church of Christ will be hosting a summer speaker series to be held each Wednesday evening at 
6:30 p.m. in the church’s auditorium, beginning June 5 and running through August 7 (with one exception of no meeting on July 3). The theme of the series is “Jesus, The Great I Am,” examining 9 of the key times in which Jesus identified himself with one of these expressions which 
use the name God claimed for Himself in Exodus 3 when He identified Himself to Moses in the Sinai wilderness, “I Am who I Am” (Ex. 3:14). 

 

On June 5, Scott Meyer, preaching minister for Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple will kick the series off with looking at Jesus’ quote from 
John 8:58: “Before Abraham was, I Am.” On June 12, Jordan Hubbard, senior minister for the Crestview Church of Christ in Waco will look at Jesus’ claim in John 6: “I Am the Bread of Life.” Dr Keith Stanglin, Professor of New Testament and director for the Center for Christian Studies, based in Austin, and also new preaching minister for the University Avenue Church of Christ, will address Jesus’ claim, “I Am the Light of the World” on June 19. The month of June will finish out on the 26th with Chris Stephens, preaching minister for the Ave G Church of Christ in Temple speaking on Jesus’ controversial word from John 14:6: “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”
