The Salado community is rallying around Emily McCann, a single mother of two who has been in ICU and the hospital with an infection of the brain.

Her friends have organized a benefit noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Barrow Brewing Co. (108 Royal St.). There will be a silent auction, live auction, quilt raffle and sausage wraps along with live music by Cam Dozier and Lola Pearl.

Donations of items for the silent and live auction are needed. Contact Danny McDonald at 254-541-1030 to donate items. Cash donations are also needed.

All proceeds  will help with bills and the cost of McCann’s continuing care.
