The following are the Fire Reports for Feb. 22-29
Feb. 22
5:39-5:45 p.m., 000 Block Rock Creek Dr. Out to a possible structure fire at a BBQ pit on the deck of house on fire. Arrived on scene to find SPD on scene and the fire out and some of the side of the house and deck burned. Home owner had cut the propane tank off from the BBQ pit but the relief valve had blew and was leaking propane. Made sure there were no more fire dangers, once no more hazards all units cleared.
5:39-5:56 p.m, 1300 Block Chisholm Trail. Dispatched to female patient with a complaint of abdominal pain. Arrived on scene to find the patient laying her right side in the fetal position. Patient states the pain started last night and just has not gotten any better. Paramedic started iv in the left hand. Continued patient care until Scott & white EMS arrived on scene to take over patient care.
Feb. 23
1:21-8:38 a.m., I-35 284 MM. Out for a Motor Vehicle Accident involving 18 wheelers. Arrived on scene to find 2 18 wheelers with major damage and blocking both north and south bound lanes of I-35. Scott & White was on scene and had patient care with 2 patients. The drivers with minor injuries. Scott & White transported both drivers for evaluation. SVFD along with BCSO and BCSO Constable set up scene safety and traffic control. Checked for fire hazards and found oil and diesel both leaking from trucks. Remained on scene with all units until there was no more danger or need for Fire Department. DPS, Wreckers, and Grones Hazmat clean up crew remained on scene until highway was cleared. All units cleared around 11 a.m., and highway was opened. 2 units, 3 personnel.
Feb. 24
9:40-10:08 a.m., 1900 Block Highland Dr. Out to priority 2 chest pain that was upgraded to priority 1. Arrived on scene to find 73 year old male patient laying across bed with hand across chest. Patient stated he was having chest pain with nausea. Pain was “6” on 1-10 scale. Belton Medic arrived on scene, provided patient report and turned care over to BFD medic unit. Assisted with patient loading from bed to stretcher. Patient was then wheeled to ambulance. Assisted with loading patient to back of truck. Patient transported. All units cleared. 1 unit, 2 personnel.
Feb. 25
12:26-2:14 a.m., County Line and I-35. 18 wheeler accident. Arrived on scene to find 18 wheeler laying on its side and patient out walking around. DPS, BCSO and BCSO Constable all on scene. Checked truck for fire dangers and found none. Took broom sand cleared all the debris from the service rds. Scott & White arrived on scene and took over patient care. Scott & White transported patient. 3 units, 8 personnel.
2:24-2:48 p.m., 500 Block FM 2268. Medical alert activation. Canceled. 1 unit, 2 personnel.
4:11-4:25 p.m., 800 Block Elm Grove Spur. Suicide patient. Went en route but was canceled. 2 units, 2 personnel.
5:39-5:46 p.m., 10800 Block IH-35 and Days Inn. Priority 3 fire alarm. Canceled en route. 3 units, 6 personnel.
8:07-8:45 p.m., 500 Block FM 2268. Out priority 3 for a 76 year old female who was found wondering in the road confused. Went en route and arrived on scene to find patient inside of her house. Patient was assessed and vitals were taken and charted. Patient was monitored until Scott & White Medic arrived on scene. Patient’s family was contacted and we waited until they arrived. Patient was a no transport. 1 unit, 3 personnel.
11:45 p.m.- 12:08 a.m., 700 Block College Hill. Female patient victim of a fall. Arrived on scene to find patient laying on front porch. Patient was aware. Patient denied any neck or back pain. Patient did not have any visible injuries. Patient complained of left hand pain. Patient denied EMS transport. Obtained vitals and charted. Assisted getting patient up off floor. Obtained a no transport for Scott & White Medic. 3 units, 4 personnel.
Feb. 27
1:35-2:09 p.m., 000 Block Old Town Rd. Out priority 3 for an 83 year old victim of a fall. Went en route and was upgraded to a priority 2. Arrived on scene to find the patient laying on the ground. Patient states he didn’t fall. Patient was placed on monitor and vitals were taken and charted. Patient history was taken. Scott & White medic arrived on scene and took over patient care. Patient was moved to stretcher and into the ambulance. Scott & White transported. 1 unit, 2 personnel.
Feb. 28
7:15-7:43 p.m., 1200 Block Great Oaks Dr. Out in reference to a n illegal controlled burn. Arrived on scene to find house hold trash, lumber and other miscellaneous items being burned. Attempted to make contact with home owner but nobody was home. Fire was extinguished with approximately 250 gallons of water. 2 units, 6 personnel.
