Salado Eagles freshmen squad crushed their opponents from Taylor 42-0 in a home football game Sept. 8.

Salado Lady Eagles swept Lampasas Lady Badgers on the road, improving to 2-0 in district play on Sept. 13.
Friday night, the Eagles played their first home game of the year, beating the Hyde Park Panthers 28-9. Before the game, all of the Eagles players were introduced along with their families.
At halftime, the Salado Eagles Marching Band performed.
Keep Salado Beautiful and other volunteers will gather 8:30 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Salado Civic Center before dispersing to various parts of the village for the Fall Community Clean-Up.
Come and meet the men and women of the Salado Volunteer Fire Department during their VFD’s annual Fish Fry 5-7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Salado High School cafeteria.
Tickets are $12 for adults over the age of 12 and $6 for children 12 and under.

Salado Lady Eagles earned their first district win tonight, getting past the Llano Lady Jackets in four.
“They did that tonight,” Coach Alan Haire said with a big smile after the Salado Eagles dominated the Hyde Park Baptist Panthers 28-9 tonight at Eagle Field.
“They were explosive coming off of the line,” he said.
Jason Faulkner had 201 yards rushing and scored all three touchdowns in the rain-soddened Salado Eagles’ 20-0 road loss to the Comfort Bobcats on Sept. 2.

The Salado H.S. cross country teams competed Sept. 2 in the Pro-Fit Invitational Meet at Wilson Park in Temple, where the varsity boys placed third and the varsity girls placed fourth.
