Four candidates have filed for three three-year terms on the Salado ISD Board of Trustees. They appear on the ballot in the following manner: Rodney W. Bell, Kristi Jarvis, Brian Sunshine and Kim Bird.
The Salado Film Squad won the inaugural state competition of the UIL Focus – Young Filmmakers Festival. Their documentary, “The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story,” was shown on April 16 at the Paramount Theater in Austin. Final awards were announced that evening at the premiere and The Heroes At Home: The Untold Story was the overall winner.

The 37th Annual Texas Packard Meet will be held April 4-6 at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado. It is the oldest regional Packard meet in the country and one of the largest.
