Audrey George of Salado passed away on July 15, 2020 at the age of 91.
Audrey Annette Denning was born on January 30, 1929 in Lusk, Wyoming to Sarah Grazelle Rogers Denning and Homer Cleveland Denning.

Sara Beth Oyler, 66, of Belton, TX, died June 30, 2020 after a very short battle with cancer at home and at Scott & White hospital in Temple. Sara was born on July 20, 1954 in Rising Star, TX to Ross and Georgie Street. She married her teenage sweetheart and only love, Richard H. Oyler.

She was a noted antiques dealer. Her contributions to the antiques community were many. In 1994, she founded the annual Bigfork Chairity Antique Shows and through her efforts, it has evolved into a nationally-recognized event.
She took pleasure in her family, friends, and colleagues. Her home in Montana and the surrounding lake and mountains brought her great comfort.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in her name to The American Liver Foundation, 246 Walnut Street, Newton, MA 02160.
Greggory D. Fate, 32, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Feb. 24 at First St. Paul’s Luthern Church with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Neb.
Gregg D. Fate was born July 11, 1965 in Austin, Texas to Leonard L. and Deanna (Hickman) Fate. He attended grade school in Hutto before moving to Clay Center, Neb., in 1976. Gregg graduated from Clay Center High School in 1983. He attended Kearney State College, Kearney, Neb., and graduated from Central Community College, Hastings, Neb., in 1987 with an Associates Degree in Broadcasting. He married Trisha L. Jelden, May 2, 1992, in Hildreth, Neb. He was currently employed with RPS, Grand Island, Neb. Gregg wa s amember of Clay Center Christian Church, American Softball Association and A.S.A Umpire Association.
Gregg was preceded in death by a grandfather, grandmother, and an uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Trisha Fate, two sons, Tanner Fate and Tyson Fate, all of Hastings, Neb.; parents Leonard and Dee Fate, of Georgetown (Dee teaches at Salado High School); brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Kelly Fate, of Orlando, Fla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leland and Marge Jelden, of Hildreth, Neb.
Butler-Volland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Louis Griffith, 87, of Salado died Feb. 11, 1998 at a Temple hospital.
Services were held Feb. 14, at the Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bentley and Rev. Brice Baker officiating. Burial followed at the Salado Cemetery.
Louis Griffith was born to Edgar Eugene Friggith and Nannie Poeet Griffith in Salado, Texas. He married Thelma Stewart on August 9, 1935 in Belton, Texas. He worked for the Texas Highway Department in various locations. He also worked for Houston Lighting and Power in 35 years. He moved back to Salado from Houston in 1975. He was a member of the Salado United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Thelma Griffith of Salado; one son David Griffith of Lakeway, Texas; one daughter Linda Griffith Thomas of Salado; one brother Bill Griffith of Dallas; two sisters Susie Cabaniss of Salado and Doris Oswald of Bellaire, Texas. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services for Carmen Jernigan Haws, 83, of Salado were held Dec. 27 at Salado Church of Christ. Minister Dempsey Stripling officiated.
Graveside services followed in the Holy Hills Memorial Park in Granbury, Texas, with minister Bill Ivins officiating.
Mrs. Haws died Dec. 24 in a Temple hospital.
She was born June 5, 1914, in Plainview, Texas, to E.L. (Pat) Jernigan and Lela Pierce Jernigan.
She grew up in Woodson, Texas, and went to school in Oklahoma, where she married Hartsell Haws Sr. on July 18, 1932, in Victory, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Haws was a member of the Salado Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Hartsell Haws Jr., and wife Kathy, of Salado; two sisters, Mary Stapleton of Lubbock and Nell Cain of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Terri Haws Davis and Gary Haws; five great grandchildren, Krystal Roberts, Megan Roberts, Brandon Haws, Lana Haws, Brooke Haws.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Salado was in charge of arrangements.
