Cartooning Texas: 100 Years of Cartoon Art in the Lone Star State

Beginning Aug. 1 at the Salado Museum, Salado Village Voice will present “Cartooning Texas: One Hundred Years of Cartoon Art in the Lone Star State,” an exhibition developed by Maury Forman and Robert A. Calvert for the Center for Texas Studies at the University of North Texas with support from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

You may see some Rebels, Ramblers and Ambassadors. You might even see a Gremlin, too!

The 2018 Lone Star Regional American Motors Owners will converge on Salado Oct. 12-13, gathering at the Holiday Inn-Express. The meeting was rescheduled due to severe weather.

Foegelle goes to Vegas Junior National Finals

Avery Foegelle will be one of 120 cowgirls competing at the KK Run for Vegas/Junior National Finals Rodeo Barrel Race Dec. 12-16 in Las Vegas. The event will be held in conjunction with the National Finals Rodeo, the sport’s grand finale.

Salado Masonic Lodge #296 to celebrate 150th anniversary

Salado Masonic Lodge #296 will celebrate its 150th Anniversary with a special dinner at the historic Stagecoach Inn on Salado’s South Main St.

Gerry N, Kirby, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, will come to Salado for the June 12 dinner at Stagecoach Inn, to present the Lodge with a proclamation honoring the Lodge on its Sesquicentennial.
