Salado’s Wildflower Weekend includes art, Texas craft beers, Texas produced wines and live music. Kicking off the third annual event is the Wildflower Pub Crawl on April 1.

An Artist Reception for Jessica Flynn will be held 7-9 p.m. on March 5 at Salado Winery & Salado Wine Seller at 841 N. Main Street. The event marks the opening for #DocumentSalado at Salado Wine Seller.

March 1 Primary Results
Local voters return two lawmakers to office
Bell County Sheriff Eddy Lange staved off two opponents in the Republican Primary, earning 55.14 percent of the votes while Constable Rolly Correa defeated former Constable Roger Laird in the Precinct 2 race on March 1.
Neither Lange nor Correa will have a Democrat opponent in November.

The FBI wants access to the iPhone of San Bernardino terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook, and Apple CEO Tim Cook is resisting and putting his refusal in apocalyptic terms. Should Apple comply with a judge’s order to help the FBI, we’re supposed to believe, it will have created the privacy equivalent of a doomsday device, making everyone vulnerable to the intrusions of government and depredations of hackers and criminals.

Children of the World in Concert
As part of its 2015-2016 U.S. tour, World Help is proud to present Children of the World International Children’s Choir. The choir, comprised of orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries, will be performing at Salado UMC on March 20 at 6 p.m.
