Free small business workshop in Belton
KILLEEN, TX (January 11, 2013) — The Central Texas Business Resource Center (the BRC) and the Belton Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) have partnered to provide a free small business workshop in Belton TX.
Business Plan Basics is a workshop being offered at no cost to participants on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Belton EDC office location. This workshop covers a thorough overview of business planning with a Q&A session. A workbook to assist with preparing a business plan will be provided.
Those interested in participating must reserve a seat at least one day in advance by phone at (254) 200-2001 or by e-mail to [email protected]. The program offered includes all materials and is conducted at the Belton EDC office located inside the Central Texas Council of Government building (CTCoG) located at 2180 North Main Street, Belton TX 76513.
The BRC provides high-quality business counseling, training and assistance to potential and existing small business owners. Assistance encompasses providing information about financial resources for businesses, business planning tools and training, marketing, financial reporting assistance, counseling on business structures and tax responsibilities, employee hiring, and government contracting. Assistance also includes referring a customer to other resources that are appropriate outside the scope of the BRC.
The mission of the BEDC is to promote, assist and enhance economic development activities within the City of Belton with special emphasis on job retention, job creation and capital investment. Each year the BEDC assists new companies interested in establishing operations in the City of Belton, encourages and facilitates expansion of local companies, continues developing the Belton Business Park, and supports infrastructure projects in the community to spur growth.
