Wilbur R. Foster
Wilbur R. Foster, 97, long time resident of Salado, passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013, at his home in Salado. Born October 16, 1915, in Cedar Valley, Texas, to Forrest F. Foster and Minnie Jackson Foster, he was the oldest of four children, two brothers and one sister.
Salado – Services for Richard H. Waters, 76 of Salado will be at 10AM Monday, June 3, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 881 N. Main St, Salado. Fr. Bob Bliss will be officiating. A gathering at Fletchers Book Store, Salado, to celebrate Richars’s life will be Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 6:30 PM.
Services for John Ross Woolard Jr., 58 of Salado were held June 5 at the Salado First Baptist Church with interment services at Salado Cemetery. A celebration of life followed at the First Baptist Church.

Memorial services for Donald E. Lightfoot, 63, of Belton were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Bill Adams officiating.
Funeral services for Cooper Lee Winters, 22, of Salado, will be held at 10: a.m. Friday, May 24, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ramiro Pena officiating. Burial will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery in Taylor.
Specialist Matthew Scott Patton, 23, whose home of record is listed as Bristol, R.I., entered the military in August 2008 as a motor transport operator.
Services for Scott Mathew McGahan, 57, of Salado were held May 11 at Broecker Funeral Home in Salado.
Services for Jackson Rhodes Thorn were held graveside in Belton. Mr. Thorn died on May 6, 2013.
On April 25, 2013 Clyde Capps of Salado passed away with family by his side. He was 91 years old. Clyde was born on October 1, 1921 in Salado, Texas to A.W. and Sally Elizabeth Proctor Capps. He married Wilma Virginia Hodge on November 7, 1942 in Belton, Texas. Their 64 years of marriage were spent in Salado where he was a homebuilder, farmer and rancher, a life-long member of the Salado United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board and was Treasurer for many years. He was a School Board Trustee for Salado and Bell County School districts and served his country in the United States Air Force.
