Visitation for Eva Cobb Evans, 90, of Salado, was held Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Broecker Funeral Home. Burial was held Monday, August 12, 2013 at Poynor Community Cemetery, Poynor, Texas.

Eva Cobb. Evans died at her home, Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was born in Larue, Texas, October 27, 1922 to Jerry G. Cobb and Ella A. Cantrell.

She married Snub Evans in Jacksonville, Texas in 1941.  Together they raised two children, mostly while living in Cleveland, Texas.  At the passing of Snub, she decided to move to Salado to be near her children.  She was a homemaker all her life.

She moved to Salado in 1989 after the passing of her husband to be near her children. She was an active member of the Church of Christ, Salado.

Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by her son David and wife Marion, here daughter Lynda Taylor and husband Jay,  a grandson and three step-grandchildren and 12 step–great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
