Patricia Milford

Funeral services for Patricia (Hand) Milford, 74, of Salado, were held March 22, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Salado. Dr. Travis Burleson officiated. Burial followed at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes. 

    Visitation was held at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.    
    Patricia died March 18, 2010 in a Temple hospital.
    She was born July 19, 1935 in San Antonio, the daughter of Preston Lee Hand and Hilda Steubbing Hand. She married Thomas Milford August 4, 1956 in Helotes. As a coaches wife they lived in Luling for many years, where she was a teacher. They moved to Salado 1984. She retired from Belton in 1996. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salado where she was the church Librarian.
    Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Milford in 2006, one son Jeffrey Clay Milford, brother Richard Douglas “Sonny” McCulloch and one great grandchild, Morgean Renea Kessler.
    Survivors include two daughters Gaye Cowell of Salado and Stephanie Milford of Bedford; one brothers James Hand of San Antonio and one sister Gloria Anderson of Leon Valley; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
    Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Salado Library Fund.
    Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
