The following are reports for July 11-17
July 11
6:23-7:41 p.m., I-35 South Bound MM 228. Dispatch for Motor Vehicle Collision on I-35. Arrived on scene to find 2 vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision with moderate damage on one vehicle. Established command. Upon investigation neither patient in vehicles wanted treatment or transport to ER, command canceled medic-unit. Remained on scene for traffic control. 3 units, 7 personnel.
July 12
2:08-2:37 p.m., Summers Mill Rd. and Armstrong. Out priority 2 to an unknown Motor Vehicle Accident. Arrived on scene to find 1 vehicle moderate damage with Holland VFD on scene. Assisted Holland with patient care. Patient had injuries from a car accident which will later settle with his injury lawyer and the other driver. Scott & White Medic arrived on scene and got a no transport. SVFD cleared with Holland remaining on scene. 2 units, 2 personnel.
2:36-2:41 p.m., 3525 FM 2484. Out for a patient victim of a fall. Arrived on scene to find the patient with Scott & White Dr.’s at Clinic. Dr. Advised patient would drive himself and to cancel medic unit. Relayed info. 1 unit, 1 personnel.
6:32-7:13 p.m., 6900 Block Smith Dairy Rd. Dispatched to a general weakness call. Arrived on scene to find patient sitting in a lawn chair next to the roadway. The Sheriff Officer stated she was found just sitting in the ditch. He asked that we check her out. She did not speak English. She would respond when you would ask a question but could not be understood. She has no visible trauma. When I tried to get a diabetic stick and take blood pressure she pulled away saying no. Individual was called and arrived on scene to help with translation. She spoke to her and found she was in no distress. The rescue crew made some phone calls and found where the patient lived. Daughter took patient care. 2 units, 4 personnel.
July 13
12:54-1:22 a.m., 000 Block Homestead. Out for a patient throwing up blood. Arrived on scene with Scott & White Medic and assisted them with patient loading onto stretcher and into ambulance. Medic transported patient. 1 unit, 1 personnel.
July 14
7:05-7:59 a.m., 279 NB. Out to a Motor Vehicle Accident with unknown injuries. Arrived on scene to find 1 vehicle at the 279 NB with major front end damage. DPS was on scene and patient advised she was fine. Patient advised a large tire came over wall from SB side into NB lanes and hit her vehicle head on. Scott & White EMS arrived on scene and got a no transport on patient. SVFD remained on scene and helped patient gather her belongings. Wrecker arrived on scene and loaded vehicle. Took patient to NB rest stop for DPS. 3 units, 3 personnel.
July 16
8:38-8:57 a.m., I-35 at 277 NB. Out in reference to a possible man down. Arrived on scene to find a bundle of insulation. All Salado units cleared. 3 units, 7 personnel.
July 17
1:31-2:29 p.m., 282 NB. Out to a traffic accident near the 282 and 283 NB. Arrived on scene to find 3 vehicles on the inside lane near the 282 NB. 2 vehicles had minor damage and 1 vehicle had moderate damage. Scott & White medic was on scene upon our arrival and had patient care. Provided scene safety and traffic control. Checked for any fire hazards and found none. Scott & White had no patient transport. Highway was cleared. 4 units, 7 personnel.
2:27-2:34 p.m., 282 NB. Out priority 2, went en route and didn’t find anything. 2 units, 4 personnel.
5:31-5:38 p.m., 290 NB. Drove up on Motor Vehicle Collision at 290 while leaving another. We found 2 cars very minor damage. All personnel were up walking around. No injuries, no fluids on ground. 1 unit, 1 personnel.
