Salado Public Library calls for Volunteers to help host the Texas Association of Minority Engineers Trailblazer, a 40-foot exhibit trailer that houses a variety of engineering and science exhibits targeted at students in grades 3-8. The Trailblazer is the only interactive science and engineering museum-on-wheels in Texas.
Volunteers are a very important part of the Trailblazer experience. They are positioned inside the Trailblazer and interact with visitors. They will demonstrate various activities in one display and explain some of the science involved. Training will be provided.
Anyone can volunteer. No experience or technical background is required. The activities are easy to learn and TAME personnel will brief volunteers prior to the event.
The event runs from 10 am – 2 pm. You do not have to volunteer the entire time. If you have an hour available and would like to help you are welcome.
If you are interested in volunteering for the event or if you have questions call 947-9191.
