Hall, Thomas A.

Hall, 62, passes away December 26 in Georgetown

Thomas A. Hall of Salado, formerly of Port­land, Maine died Friday, December 26 in George­town following illness.

Tom was born March I, 1941 in Sanford, Maine to Preston and Dorothy Hall. He is survived by his wife Jean Hall of Salado and his brother Albert Hall of Limington Maine.

Tom Hall proudly served in the Naval Sub­marine Service from 1958 through 1964.

Most recently Tom and his wife Jean, owned and operated The Amish Store in Scarsbourough, Maine and Salado.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Good Shepherd Food Bank, 3121 Hotel Road, Auburn, Maine 04210.

Price, Leon W.

Price passes away at age 75

Services for W. Leon Price, 75, of Salado were Nov. 14, 2003 at Fairview Cemetery Chapelin Denison with the Rev. James Kelly officiating.

He died Nov. 7 in his home.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Price of Sherman, two grand-daughters and one great-granddaughter.

Angelic Mortuary in Sherman was in charge of arrangements.

Light, Philip N.

Light passes away Nov. 22 in Temple Hospital

Philip N. Light, 69, of Salado, died Nov. 22, 2003 in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with Minister Joe Keyes officiating. Burial followed in Salado Cemetery.

Light was born to John Hudson and lrba Ester Wiseman Light in Lamesa on Sept. 7. 1914 He married Nancy Sanders in Belton on July 6 195 . He had been a resident of Salado for the past 17 years moving here from Grand Prairie.

He and his wife own Main Street Place in Salado He was formerly employed as a banker for 27 year in Killeen and Grand Prai­rie. He was also an inde­pendent insurance broker in Dallas and Salado. He was active in civic organi­zations, holding member­ship m the Lion Club, Kiwanis Club and Toast­masters. Light was an active member of Salado Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Light of Salado; two sons, Steve Light of Dallas and Scott Light of Grand Prairie; one daughter, Leslie Billings of Dallas; two brothers, Glen Light of Belton and Curtis Light of Salado, one sister, Elizabeth Carterght of Signal Mountain, TN; and six grandchildren. He was precede in death by one brother, John Light and one sister, Patricia Self.

Memorials may be made to the Fellowship Hall Fund of the Salado Church of Christ.

Adamson Heth, Pamela Marie

Services for Adamson were held Nov. 25 At Salado Cemetery

Services for Pamela Marie Heth Adamson, 53, of Salad were held Nov. 25 at the Salado Cemetery. Dossman Funeral Home in Salado is in charge of arrangement.s

The Rev. Skip Blancett officiated.

She died Nov. 19, 2003.

She was born in Albany, CA. She was president of the Utah Assoc. of Professional Landmans in keeping with her pioneer spirit.

Survivors are her husband, John Adamson; parents Lt. Col. (Ret.) Bill and Marney Heth; and a sister Patti Pace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Salad United Methodist Church building fund.

Bluntzer, Maurine J.

Bluntzer dies Nov. 21

Maurine J. Bluntzer, 89, of Salado died Nov. 21, 2003. Services were held Nov. 24 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Salado. Burial was held Nov. 25 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

She was born in York­town. She married Wood­row K. Bluntzer in Cuero on July 8, 1934. She traveled to many states and coun­tries as a military wife and moved to Salado in 1984. She was active in the Officers Wives Club at Ft. Hood, Village Artists of Salado, Chamber of Com­merce Ladies Auxiliary, Tablerock and the Belton Senior Center. She served on the council of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and the St. Stephen’s Ladies Society.

Her love and talent was cross stitching, quiJ.t making, painting, yard work, gardening and playing bridge avidly.

Her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Woodrow K. Blunt­zer, preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1984.
Survivors are a son, William K. Bluntzer of Round Rock; daughter, Joan Bluntzer Hallmark of Harker Heights; sister, Max Ann Farlee of Lake Jackson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Memorials can be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church Build­ing Fund, P.O. Box 662, Salado, TX 76571.

Dunlap, Josie Elaine

Funeral services held for Dunlap infant

Graveside services for infant Josie Elaine Dunlap were held Nov. 13, 2003 in the Salad Cemetery with Dr. Max Johnson officiating.

She died at birth on Nov. 11, 2003 in a Temple hospital.

Survivors include her parents, Ryon and Andrea Dunlap; sister, Brooke Elizabeth Dunlap, all of Salado; paternal grandparents, Cheryie and Jim Palmer of Marble Falls, and Bill Dunlap of Salado; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Virginia Martone of Jarrell; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chaney of Horshoe Bay; maternal great-grandparents, Billye and Ralph Crum of Jarrell, Ralph and Karleen Marton of Homosassa, FL, and Kenneth and Jeanette Davidson of Hewitt.

Rocha, John Carlos

Rocha passes away at age 34

Services for John Carlos Rocha, 34, of Belton will be held 2 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Father Carlos Nunez officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, south of Belton.

He died Nov. 15, 2003 in a Temple Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 21, 1968 in Dallas, to Enrique V. And Maria Esabel Berumen Rocha. He married Colleen O’Donnell on Dec. 21, 2001 in Belton. He was an employee for Salad Water Supply Corporation.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Rocha of Belton son, Ethan C. Rocha of Benton; step-daughter, Erica Thacker of Belton; parents, Enrique V. And Maria Isabel Berumen Rocha, of Salado; brothers Enrique Rocha and Alejandro Rocha, of Salado; sister Ana Rocha of Belton and Sandra Medrano of Salado.

Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. Nov. 19 at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.

Randall, Elizabeth Beard

Tree planted in memory of Elizabeth Beard Randall

Friends and family of the late Elizabeth Beard Randall held a provete tree dedication Nov. 15. Elizabeth Randall was born Oct. 31, 1920, in Mart, and passed away from complications with Alzheimer’s disease Sept. 6, 2003, in Boise, ID.

She was the fourth child born to Charles Clause Beard an Nancy Evelyn Kyser, of Mart. She married Lester James “Jim” Randall on Nov. 22, 1942 and spent the ensuing years in Maryland, Houston and Connecticut, before retiring to Salado in 1981. Jim passed away in 1992. Elizabeth moved to Boise in 1995, following her Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

She is survived by two daughters and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60601-7633, or to any local Alzheimer’s organization.

Cook, Mary Faith

Cook passes way Nov. 1

Funeral services for Mary Faith Cook, 38, of Salado, will be 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at the First Baptist Church of Killeen with Rev. Chad Rowe officiat­ing. Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook was killed in a vehicle accident in Belton Nov. 1.

Mary Faith was born to Dister and Anne Deoss on Aug. 7, 1965 in Abilene.

She graduated from Killeen High School in 1983 and earned a bach­elor’s degree from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1996.

Mrs. Cook was a math teacher at Harker Heights High School. She taught in the Killeen school dis­trict since 1996.

Mrs. Cook was a member of Destiny Church.

She is survived by her husband Curtis Cook, of Salado, and her two children, son Andrew Cook and daughter Sarah Cook, both of Salado.

She is also survived by her parents, Dister Deoss, of Concord, N.H., and Anne Deoss, of Killeen, and her broth­ers, Roy Deoss, of Con­necticut, and Art Deoss of Killeen.

Memorials can be made to the Harker Heights High School Booster Club.

Graves, Louise

Funeral services slated Nov. 5 for Louise Graves, 75, of Saldao

Louise Graves, of Salado, 75, died Nov. 3, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 7, 1928 to John E. and Emma Johnson Patterson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Graves will be 10 a.m. Nov. 5 at First Baptist Church on Main St. Visitation was 6 p.m, Nov. 4 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Salado.

Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her parents, John E. Patterson and Emma Johnson Patterson, of Mesquite.

She was married for 48 years to her devoted husband Bill D. Graves, of Salado. They are members of First Baptists Church of Salado.

She is survived by her husband Bill, and her son, Robert Earl Borchardt and wife Carol Louise, of Arlington.

She is also survived by her sister, Claire Ruth Lewis, three grand .. children, John Robert Borchardt, Mark Loran Borchardt and Lori Borchardt Petersen and five: great grandchildren.
