4X400 Meter Relay heading to State May 3, 2018 by Tim Fleischer Runners are bound for state Salado Lady Eagles 4X400 Meter Relay team will compete at the State Track Meet in Austin May 11-12 after placing second in the Region 3 4A Track Championships held at Sam Houston State University April 27-28. Several Lady Eagles competed in the Regional Meet. The 4X400 Meter Relay, according to Coach Corey Baird, “ran a blazing personal record and broke the current school record” with a time of 4:02.23. The previous school record of 4:03.89 was set in 2005. The team is made up of (from left) Reginia Deen, Samantha Vargas, Elizabeth Ford, Taylor Rich. Jaci McGregor competed in the 800m (fifth, 2:25) and 1600 Meter (fourth, 5:28 a personal record). Elizabeth Ford placed fifth in High Jump with a mark of 5’2. Presley Maddux placed sixth in the Pole Vault with a vault of 9’6. Landry Rogers competed in the Discus. Holly Wright competed in the 100m Hurdles. Reginia Deen competed in the 100m dash.
