Salado Lady Eagles 4X400 Meter Relay team will compete at the State Track Meet in Austin May 11-12 after placing second in the Region 3 4A Track Championships held at Sam Houston State University April 27-28. Several Lady Eagles competed in the Regional Meet. The 4X400 Meter Relay, according to Coach Corey Baird, “ran a blazing personal record and broke the current school record” with a time of 4:02.23. The previous school record of 4:03.89 was set in 2005. The team is made up of (from left) Reginia Deen, Samantha Vargas, Elizabeth Ford, Taylor Rich. Jaci McGregor competed in the 800m (fifth, 2:25) and 1600 Meter (fourth, 5:28 a personal record). Elizabeth Ford placed fifth in High Jump with a mark of 5’2. Presley Maddux placed sixth in the Pole Vault with a vault of 9’6. Landry Rogers competed in the Discus. Holly Wright competed in the 100m Hurdles. Reginia Deen competed in the 100m dash.
