Academy Lady Bees scored enough points in the first quarter to beat the Salado Lady Eagles at home Nov. 13, jumping out to a 22-5 lead.

Salado scored just 19 points in the game while Academy stretched the lead to 39-12 at the half, 51-14 after three quarters and the 63-19 finale.

Payton Dreitz led Salado with eight points on the night. Kerrigan Hearne and Sarah Kelarek both hit three-pointers for their scores. Brianna Washington had two points and Danielle McDaniel, Kierstan Osborn and Paz Perez each had a single point from the free throw line in the game.
