Hop aboard as the Temple Convention & Visitors Bureau team up with Temple’s very own BJ’s Brewhouse and Taylor’s Texas Beer Company to bring you Ale on the Rail, a new craft beer experience on Amtrak’s Texas Eagle.
On May 20, passengers will ride the rails to sample and tour two local breweries and sample the suds they produce locally. Passengers will also enjoy dinner on the train as they depart from the Santa Fe Depot in Temple to Taylor.
“Craft beer is so popular right now and many people do not realize that Temple is home to the actual BJs Brewhouse,” said Sennett Farias, Ale on the Rail Coordinator. “This is the first stand-alone brewery that BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse has constructed and it produces all BJ’s craft beers for all Texas BJ’s restaurant locations right here in Temple! It seems like a perfect partnership to create this event.”
