Alice Evelyn Fritz

Services were held   for Alice Evelyn Fritz, 92, of Quitman who passed away Feb. 16, 2010 at a Quitman care center. Funeral services were held Feb. 20 at the Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Rev. Billy Joe Fritz officiated. Burial followed at McDowell Cemetery.

    Evelyn was born September 15, 1917 in Leroy, Texas to James F. and Linda Link (Walker) Casey. She attended high school in Temple. In 1935 she married George D. Fritz in Salado. Evelyn was a member of ALANON since 1956, and started the ALANON group in Temple in 1960. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Temple since it’s opening in 1957.
    Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
    Survivors include four sons, Bobby G. Fritz of Troy, L. Dean and Mary Fritz of Roswell, New Mexico, Gerald Ray and gayle Fritz of Temple, and Billy Joe and Janic Fritz of Winnsboro; one daughter, Dee Anna and NOlan Compton of Soldotna, Alaska; one brother, Oran B. Casey and wife Nora of Mt. View, Oklahoma; one sister, Francis Tippit of Shenandoah, Texas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made ot the Texas Baptist Home for Children at 629 Farley St, Waxahachie, Tx 75165.
    Heartfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
