Ambassadors give $53K in services to Salado

Salado’s 31 Ambassadors volunteered 2,270 hours in 2014 for a value of $53,118 based upon the volunteer hourly rate of $23.40 per hour.

“What a difference they made in Salado last year,” Charbonneau said, “driving the trolley,  working at the visitors center and worked at special events.”

The Ambassador of the Year “has given a lot of time to the Village of Salado through volunteering with special events and working at the Visitors Center,” she said. “There is never a time that this person will not volunteer to help out and every time this person does, she gives 100 percent.”

“I met this person a few years ago and can say my life has been enriched ever since,” Charbonneau said of Paulette Chandler. “Every day is a new beginning and new adventure with someone that I am proud to call not only an ambassador but my friend.”
