Arlee Lackey
Services for Arlee Sutton Lackey, 84, were held Feb. 2 at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Ridge Adams officiating. She died Sunday, Jan. 30, in a Temple living center.
She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Salado to Nallie Churchill and Cora Mae O’Dell Sutton. She graduated from Salado High School. She married Beauford Hue Lackey on June 14, 1952, in Waco, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1999.
She was employed as a deputy clerk for Bell County for many years.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Moody.
Survivors include sons, Lee Lackey and Beauford Lackey, both of Pendleton; sisters, Zelda Allen and Vada Sutton, both of Belton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Willow Grove Baptist Church, 13940 Willow Grove Rd., Moody 76557.
