Arline Singer
Arline Singer, 85, of The Woodlands and formerly of Salado passed away March 19, 2015.
She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on November 7, 1929.
She graduated from Wauwatosa, High School and attended the University of Wisconsin where she studied interior decorating. She married Robert Joseph Singer on September 16, 1950.
Singer was president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the National Association of Home Builders and worked as a decorator for Tom Singer Construction until 1968 when she and her family moved to Mexico.
Later in life she was an integral staff member at the Salado Veterinary Clinic where she comforted many pet lovers during loss using her training as a grief counselor.
At the time of her death she was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church, The Woodlands, Texas.
Singer was preceded in death by her father, Robert Christian Gallenbeck, mother Irma F. Arlitt Gallenbeck, and husband Robert Joseph Singer.
She is survived by her son Jeffery Robert Singer and his wife Sandra, her daughter Victoria Singer Salcedo and husband Juan and four grandchildren.
The funeral was held March 21 at Forest Park The Woodlands, Texas with interment at the Salado Cemetery in Salado, on March 22..
Services are in the care of Broecker Funeral Home, Salado.
