Salado Village Artists and the Public Arts League will host an awards reception 6 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Salado Civic Center to celebrate the winning artists in their 2015 Juried Art Competition.

Dozens of artists from around the state will have their work on display through Oct. 23 at the Salado Civic Center as part of the art show, which features seven visual art categories. The artwork will be on display 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Civic Center.

A three-panel jury has selected the winners in each category, which will be announced during the reception. Awards will also be presented for  Best of Show; Memorial and Scholarship. The following awards will be presented: $1,000 Lorraine E. Peterson Grand Prize Memorial; $500 Claudia Stubblefield Outstanding Artist Scholarship Memorial; $500 Lester Stubblefield Sculpture/ 3D Memorial; $500  Larry Roberston Photography Memorial; $500 Mixed-Media Memorial; $500 Acrylic or Oil Memorial and $500 Watercolor Award.
