AUSTIN — Employers added 36,600 total nonfarm jobs in October in Texas for a total of 277,400 jobs added over the year. The state’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.6 percent in October from 6.8 percent in September. The unemployment rate in Texas remains well below the national rate of 7.9 percent.

Since its creation in 1999, the Clearwater Underground Water Control District (CUWCD) has registered 4,925 wells and permits for wells in Bell County.
Of those registrations, 4,060 are grandfathered exempt wells. Another 709 are also exempt wells, according to Leland Gersbach, president of the board of directors of the CUWCD.

Texas WDB launches website with reservoir information
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has launched a new website www.waterdatafortexas.org, which will provide the most comprehensive information available on Texas reservoir conditions. TWDB compiled extensive records from federal, state, and local partners to generate current and historical information on reservoir levels, storage, surface area, and elevation-area-capacity curves. In many cases, the website provides data for the entire history of the reservoir.
