FORT HOOD, Texas – Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died at Carl R. Darnall Medical Center after collapsing while standing in formation March 29 2011 here. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
Services for Antonio Guajardo, 80, of Belton were held March 26, 2011 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Salado with Reverend Greg McLaughlin officiating. A visitation preceded the service.
Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who was found unresponsive March 20, 2011 in his barracks. The cause of death is unknown.
Memorial Services for Charles “Chuck” Gerhart, 71, of Salado will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with Justin Ruiz officiating.
Chuck Gerhart was born on January 31, 1940 at Baltimore, MD to the late Homer Delmore and Agnes Freeby Gerhart. He graduated Kenwood High School and attended Temple Junior College. He served and retired from the United States Coast Guard having served in Vietnam. He married Helen Canningenberg on January 28, 1964 at Angleton, Texas and they moved to Salado in 1973. He operated Round Rock Plumbing Company for over 30 years.
Gerhart died Saturday, March 12, 2011 in a Temple hospital. He is survived by his wife 46 years, Helen Gerhart of Salado; Two sons, Charles /D. Gerhart of Salado and Donnie Gerhart of Leander; three grandchildren, Hunter Gerhart, Summer Gerhart and Whitney Gerhart.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes Hospital in his name. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
Graveside funeral services for James Robbins 48, of Salado, were held at March 12, at the North Belton Cemetery with Minister Joe Baisden officiating.
Services for Donna Marie Sarvis, 43, of Harker Heights were held March 14, 2011 at the Broecker Funeral Home Chapel, Salado, with Pastor Tunis Schuurman officiating.
