Baby Kangaroo on the loose in Salado area has been found

Local resident Kathy Ellis Wilhite captured a photograph  of a baby kangaroo this morning on FM 2484. She took the picture about 8 a.m. Monday morning. The kangaroo reportedly has been missing since yesterday morning, but was found about 11 a.m.

This is the second kangaroo in the past four months to escape from Lonnie and Louise Whitaker.

In March, Izzy escaped from their property at 8500 FM 2484.

This morning, Kathy Wilhite shot a pic of the baby kangaroo just before it hopped in front of her car.

Be on the lookout for the escapee and help the Whitakers to get her back home by calling Melanie Tindell at 254-231-686. The owners are currently out looking for the baby kangaroo.
