Billye Street Fuller

Funeral services for Billye Street Fuller, 90, of Salado,was held at February 23, at the First Baptist Church Salado with Rev. Derald Dugger and Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating.  Burial will follow at the Salado Cemetery.

  Billye Fuller died Saturday February 19, 2011 at a Belton nursing home.

Billye Fuller was born May 7, 1920 in Milam County on a farm between Cameron and Rockdale the daughter of Ernest Williams and Beulah (McGuire) Williams.  She grew up in Milam County, one of seven children.  As a teenager her family moved to a farm near Prairie Dell. She attended Rockdale schools and was a 1937 graduate of Salado High School.

  She married E. D. (Snookie) Street February 3, 1940 in Bell County.  They made their home in Brownwood for more than 40 years.  They moved back to Salado in 1984. Mr. Street preceded her in death.

  She later married E. Ray Fuller September 4, 1989 they spent over 16 years together before he preceded her in death in 2005.   

  Mrs. Fuller lived her whole life as a servant to her family and others.  She was a Wife, Mother, Homemaker, Daughter, Sister, Christian, Baptist, Proud American, and “Yellow Dog” Democrat. She  enjoyed knitting, crafts, and in later years dancing and loved “visiting” with others.

  She was preceded in death by husbands, E. D. (Snookie) Street and E. Ray Fuller and one son Sammye Street and step son Norman Fuller.

  Survivors include two sons Gene Street of Dallas and Darrell Street of Salado; step-daughter Sharon Kilgaard and step-son Fred Fuller, Brother Truett Williams of Salado and Sister Sybil Smith and husband “Bud” of Salado; brother-in-law J. D. Hinsley of Salado and sister-in-law Virginia Williams of Salado; ten grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
