Salado Eagles varsity soccer team travels to Robinson Feb. 13 for a non-district game after falling to Giddings 0-1 on the road Feb. 3. The boys are 6-6 as of presstime and start district play at home against Lampasas on Feb. 17.

Leading players in the loss to Giddings were Forward Scout Pucket, Midfielder John Dawson, Defender Cameron Markham and Midfielder J.P. Michael.

“The boys fought hard against a quick and powerful Giddings team, and each player contributed to the effort,” Coach Michael Goos said. “The team is working hard to deliver more consistent wins.”

The JV boys played Gatesville last Monday and lost 1-0 with Gatesville scoring in the last 10minutes of play.  The JV Boys play again tomorrow night against Lampasas at the practice fields and again on Thursday at the soccer fields against Lampasas.   Game time Tue is 4pm and Thur, 6:30pm
