Carol (Bitsy) Barton died Wednesday August 22 at her home in Salado.

Bitsy is survived by her husband Glenn and her brother Tommy of Blue Ridge, GA, two children, Andy and his wife Jayne of Huntsville, daughter Holly of Jonesboro, AR, four grandchildren and one grand daughter. She was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne, and her parents. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, mostly of Oklahoma.

Bitsy was educated in Oklahoma City and attended the University of Oklahoma. She held many sales supervisory, and managerial positions in Salado. Prior to her marriage to Glenn she was Executive Secretary and Officer Manager for W.D. Broadway Executive Director of Interfaith in the Woodlands. Bitsy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Salado where she was a member of the choir and the Prayer Group which she helped organize. 

A celebration of life will be held at Salado United Methodist Church and details will be announced later.
