Village continues deer debate
Aldermen may consider at their meeting Nov. 3 two local ordinances concerning hunting within the Village of Salado. While the agenda was posted for the meeting, no supporting documents, including drafts of the two ordinances were available when requested by the Salado Village Voice newspaper on Oct. 31.
Village seeks to withhold documents concerning Foutz investigation
Assistant city attorney Lisa Sjogren has requested a decision from the Attorney General’s office regarding a public information request made Oct. 18 by Tim Fleischer, editor of Salado Village Voice.

Construction wrapping up on interstate through Salado
I-35 construction should be substantially completed before Thanksgiving
All of the mainlanes for I-35 through Salado should be open no later than Thanksgiving, according to Mayor Skip Blancett, who has met almost weekly with James Construction representatives.

Early voting has broken the records of 2008. So far, at the Salado early voting location, more than 2,677 have cast ballots in Precinct 203 through Nov. 1.
