Could Reagan win in 2016?
A renowned and familiar historian is again coming to Salado to speak this spring. Dr. H.W. Brands will give the Wilmer Memorial Lecture, sponsored by the Institute for the Humanities at Salado. His presentation will be Saturday, April 9, at 4 p.m., at the Salado Civic Center. Dr. Brands is a well known historian and author who has written the recent bestseller, Reagan, The Life. His lecture entitled “Could Reagan Win in 2016?” is free and open to the public.
HAZMAT spill at I-35 wreck
A wreck involving two 18 wheelers and an SUV on I-35 southbound, just north of Thomas Arnold Rd. exit has shut down the southbound lanes since about noon today (Wed. March 10 2016).

March 1 Primary Results
Local voters return two lawmakers to office
Bell County Sheriff Eddy Lange staved off two opponents in the Republican Primary, earning 55.14 percent of the votes while Constable Rolly Correa defeated former Constable Roger Laird in the Precinct 2 race on March 1.
Neither Lange nor Correa will have a Democrat opponent in November.
