Wolf named to First Team All-State Baseball
In 19 appearances in his senior year, Salado Eagle pitcher Cody Wolf allowed just 19 runs to be scored, of which only six were earned runs.
In his final appearance on the mound for Salado, pitching the final 2.2 innings in the Eagles’ 3-2 loss to Abilene Wylie in the state 4A finals, Wolf threw 28 pitches, 20 of them for strikes. He gave up no walks, no hits and no runs. He struck out four of the eight batters he faced.

Engineers bring Trailblazer to Salado Public Library July 23
Salado Public Library calls for Volunteers to help host the Texas Association of Minority Engineers Trailblazer, a 40-foot exhibit trailer that houses a variety of engineering and science exhibits targeted at students in grades 3-8. The Trailblazer is the only interactive science and engineering museum-on-wheels in Texas.

Fourth of July picnic to be held at Salado High School
The annual Salado Independence Day “pot-luck picnic” will be held in the Salado High School auditorium, hosted by the Salado Historical Society.
The doors will open at 1 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to come to visit with old friends and meet new ones, enjoy lots of food and a rip-roaring patriotic music program provided by the Salado Community Chorus.

KSB brochure earns state award
The Visitor Center Demonstration Garden Brochure was recognized by the state Master Gardener Association in the written education category. This was one of three awards won by the Bell County Master Gardeners. Susan Terry is shown with the award.
