Community Chorus concert April 28
Salado Community Chorus will perform songs about “Work and Play in the USA” at their April 28 concert 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Salado.
Local adults 27 and older can sign up for the Adult Recreational Soccer League. The adult league will be 7v7 co-ed teams.
For two decades, the Salado Family Relief Fund has made Back to School, Christmas holidays and hard times better for Salado children and families.

TXDOT pursuing limiting trucks to right lane through construction zone; traffic study complete

I-35 Northbound Mainlanes Closed in Salado Tuesday, 3/29/16
Salado — All I-35 northbound mainlanes in Salado, from Exit #283 (FM 2268) to Exit #286 (FM 2484) will be closed Tuesday night, March 29, from 9 pm until 7 am the next day. Northbound traffic will be detoured to the northbound frontage road, and will reenter the I-35 mainlanes north of FM 2484. The contractor will be moving concrete barriers, replacing a short section of cracked pavement and adding new striping. Local traffic is encouraged to seek alternate routes. Long delays are expected.
The Thomas Arnold Bridge will remain open to allow traffic to cross over I35. The FM 2484 bridge WILL BE CLOSED during this time.
The 18-wheeler driver of a Fedex truck with two trailers ran into the concrete barriers of the southbound mainlanes of I-35 early this morning, shutting down mainlanes in both directions. Seek alternative routes through Salado.
UPDATE at 10 a.m. Southbound mainlanes have opened and traffic on the access road, West Village Road, etc. is starting to clear.
